Tiger Shroff prioritizes film with Hrithik Roshan over Rambo?
According to reports, Tiger Shroff starrer Rambo has been put on the backburner.
Tiger Shroff has time and again accepted that he idolizes Hrithik Roshan like anything. So, we can surely understand his feelings and excitement when his name was announced for a Yash Raj Films’ untitled movie with Junior Roshan. Who does not want to work with their idol one day! And since Tiger has got the opportunity so early in his career, he is leaving no stone unturned to give his hundred percent to the movie. However, his excitement around this film with Hrithik Roshan has put his film Rambo on the backburner.
Rambo is the official Hindi remake of Sylvester Stallone's 1982 blockbuster film of the same name. To be directed by Siddharth Anand of Bang Bang fame, the remake was announced in May this year with the launch of a poster featuring Shroff in an angry, rouged avatar. The film was about to go on floors in February 2018. But now it seems difficult because Tiger has reportedly shifted his entire focus on the YRF film.
According to a source, "Tiger is currently filming Baaghi 2, which will be completed by December. Hrithik will also be available around the same time after he wraps up Vikas Bahl's biopic on mathematician Anand Kumar. Given that both actors can commence working on Siddharth's film next year, the unit decided to go ahead with this project first."
The source further adds, “The remake of Rambo has also been put on the backburner since the filmmaker has been asked to revisit the high budget.”
When director Siddharth Anand was asked about the same, this is what he had to say, "Rambo is not an easy project to pull off. Since it needs to be shot in the snow, we will begin filming towards the end of 2018."
Rambo was earlier scheduled for late 2018 release. But since the film will now mount floors towards the end of 2018, the makers will have to find another suitable date to release it.
