Fukrey Returns Plot Review:
Fukrey Returns is a sequel to the 2013 film Fukrey. It starts from where the first film ends. Bholi Punjaban (Richa Chadha), who was locked behind bars, comes out after spending one year in jail. She had to strike a deal with a powerful politician to get out of jail and now she needs a whopping amount of Rs. 10 crore to pay to the evil politician who arranged her release. She had only 10 days to arrange the money. When nothing seems possible, she gets back to Hunny (Pulkit Samrat), Choocha (Varun Sharma), Zafar (Ali Fazal), Lali (Manjot Singh) and Panditji (Pankaj Tripathi), thinking that the gang can help her win a big lottery. But unfortunately, the lottery number that Hunny had deciphered based on Choocha’s dream does not win and now everyone is in a bigger mess. Meanwhile, everyone realizes that Choocha has now got a new special power, power of premonitions. Hunny decodes one of his premonitions and believes it can lead them to a treasure. Now, they embark on the journey of hunting the treasure. Will the fukra gang find the treasure? Will Bholi Punjaban be able to arrange Rs. 10 crore for the politician? To know watch the film.
Fukrey Returns Performance Review:
Fukrey Returns has the same bunch of actors whose idiosyncrasies we have seen in the first part of the franchise. Like the predecessor, the cast tries to tickle your funny bones and succeeds. Attracting attention to your character in a multi-starrer comedy film is not easy, but with their distinctive style of acting, every actor in the sequel stands out, especially Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma and Richa Chadha. Pulkit looks charming and very much in his character, while Varun is lovable from start to finish. Richa Chadha, who returns to play the popular character of Bholi Punjaban, delivers an attractive performance. Her performance is razor sharp. Ali Fazal also does a fine job. He steals your heart with his simplicity. Manjot Singh is also good. Pankaj Tripathi as Panditji is outstanding. He is an actor who never disappoints you. Overall, all actors deliver assured performances.
Fukrey Returns Direction Review:
After Fukrey, Mrighdeep Singh Lamba has not directed any film. He returns to direction after five years, with the same freshness of ideas which won him laurels five years ago. With his latest directorial, Mrighdeep succeeds in arresting the audience's’ attention with the help of sharp humour, relatable characters, and hilarious performances by the lead cast. His film servers up jokes after jokes and keeps the audience glued to the screen. What else do you want from a comic-caper! Besides Mrighdeep, his writer Vipul Vig also deserves praises for coming up with a fresh film yet again. This is a film that belongs as much to its director and star cast as its writer.
Fukrey Returns Technical Aspect Review:
The film has been shot well and boasts of good production value. Cinematography and art direction are good. Background score of the film is superb. A major portion of the film has been shot on actual locations which makes you relate more with the film and its goings on.
Fukrey Returns Music Review:
Fukrey Returns is a quirky comedy film and so we expect the same kind of quirkiness from its music as well. The film has a couple of fun songs which gel well with the narrative and take the story forward. There are total 7 songs in the album. Out of 7 songs, 3 songs - Mehbooba’, ‘Peh Gaya Khalara’, ‘Ishq De Fanniyar’ – are good to hear. All songs have been picturized really well and therefore they look amazing on the big screen. However, the film does not have a song which leaves a long lasting impression and has a long shelf life. Fukrey Returns has a very situational music which sounds good in the film only.
Fukrey Returns Final Verdict:
If you don’t act smart and never ever try to find logic while watching, Fukrey Returns will entertain you thoroughly and can even exceed your expectations. It is a gut-bustingly funny film that can be enjoyed with the whole family and friends. It does full justice to its predecessor . In nutshell, Fukrey Returns is a comedy worth spending your money on.
