SRK’s ‘Ted Talks’ to not telecast on the same time slot as of Aamir’s ‘Satyamev Jayate’!
Averting the clash, the makers of SRK’s ‘Ted Talks’ have mutually decided to not air the show on the same time slot as of Aamir’s ‘Satyamev Jayate’.
Unlike Bollywood films, the small screen will not see the big clash. Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Ted Talks – India Nayi Soch’, which will air from 10th December on Star Plus, is scheduled to telecast at the 7 pm time slot. The audience has seen and loved Aamir’s show, ‘Satyamev Jayate’ for two seasons. Before getting the time slot, it was believed that ‘Ted Talks’ would air on the same time slot of ‘Satyamev Jayate’ i.e. 11 am. But this time around, the clash has been avoided. A source says, “It is to be noted that both Aamir and Shah Rukh have rekindled their friendship in recent times and apart from the economic part, for personal reasons too, an averted clash means all sides can heave a sigh of relief.”
As SJ used to telecast on Sundays, SRK’s ‘Ted Talks’ is also scheduled to air only on Sundays. The source further added, “The two shows have completely different content hence the comparison is irrelevant. While SJ looks at various issues that prevail in India including female feticide, child sexual abuse, rape, honour killings, domestic violence, alcoholism etc., in TED Talks, every episode will have a specific theme and will also focus on new ideas that will inspire the country.”
As both the shows are of Star India Pvt Ltd, the makers of the two mutually decided with each other and came to a conclusion that ‘Ted Talks’ will be aired at 7 pm. As SJ used to showcase the social issues, ‘Ted Talks’ on the other hand, will give a platform to express the creative ideas, which will be beneficial to the society. SRK’s show will only run for 7 weeks and if everything goes right, the makers will then come up with its season 2.
