Vicky Kaushal and Samantha Ruth Prabhu to kick start filming for Aditya Dhar’s The Immortal Ashwatthama in 2023

Vicky Kaushal and Samantha Prabhu both of them who have many projects in their pipeline are set to star in Aditya Dhar’s directed film The Immortal Ashwatthama. While too much information about the project is not known, it is reported that both the stars will shoot for the film next summer which is in 2023. But a source close to the development spoke about the film and Aditya’s collaboration with Vicky.

The source revealed, “Vicky and Aditya are both incredibly passionate about The Immortal Ashwatthama. Since the movie is similar to a dream that they both experienced, Adi's decision to continue shooting without Vicky was never in the discussion. The project is finally prepared to begin production next summer after some back and forth over the past few months over the budget and casting front. Aditya thinks that his action hero introduction of the Immortal Ashwatthama from the Mahabharata can transcend national boundaries.”

Many of the films in both Bollywood and South are made on a heavy budget. Talking about the same, the sources said, "Aditya has enormous goals, but it's an exceedingly expensive film. He has been working arduously for the past three years to gather all the source information since he wants to advance the situation. Even on the graphical front, he created a storyboard that impressed all of Jio's studio chiefs.”

Samantha and Vicky’s work front

Vicky is currently filming for Meghna Gulzar’s film Sam Bahadur which also features Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra. He also has Govinda Naam Mera with Kiara Advani and Bhumi Pednekar. On the other hand, Samantha is preparing for her role in Raj & DK’s Citadel. She also has two releases in the coming months which include Yashoda and the mythological film Shaakuntalam.
