5 leading Bollywood stars set to make their digital debut in 2022

With OTT taking over in the past few years, we saw many B-town actors like Saif Ali Khan, Aditi Rao Hydari, Nushrratt Bharucha, Ali Fazal, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and others moving towards OTT and giving us some amazing projects on different digital platforms. The consumption of entertainment on digital platforms has increased after the 2020 lockdown, due to its originality and content. Now, several more A-list actors from the tinsel town of Bollywood are gearing up to foray into the digital space. So, here is the list of 5 leading Bollywood stars set to make their digital debut in 2022.

1. Ajay Devgn

After giving us a series of entertaining films over the years, superstar Ajay Devgn is set to make his digital debut with a crime-drama series, titled Rudra- The Edge of Darkness. He will be seen playing a cop on the show, set to stream on Disney + Hotstar. Rudra- The Edge of Darkness is the official adaptation of the successful British TV show Luther. Aside from Devgn, the show also features Raashii Khanna and Esha Deol in lead roles.

2. Shahid Kapoor

After giving hits like Kaminey (2009), Haider (2013) and Kabir Singh (2019), Shahid Kapoor is gearing up for his digital debut with an Amazon Prime show. He is definitely one of the most talented actors of Bollywood and we can't wait to see what he has in store for us! The untitled project is being helmed by Raj and DK, the duo behind the two successful seasons of The Family Man. It also stars Vijay Sethupathi in the lead role.

3. Aditya Roy Kapur

The Gen- Z heartthrob Aditya Roy Kapur will also be making his OTT debut this year. He will be seen in The Night Manager, a Hindi remake of the Golden Globe- winning show. According to known sources, he will be playing the role of Tom Hiddleston in the series.

4. Madhuri Dixit

One of the 90s leading actresses, Madhuri Dixit is all set to make her digital debut with the Netflix series The Fame Game. Earlier, the show was called Finding Anamika but later got renamed to The Fame Game. It is being produced by Karan Johar and will also feature Manav Kaul, Sanjay Kapoor, Lakshvir Saran, Suhasini Mulay and Muskkaan Jaferi in pivotal roles.

5. Sonakshi Sinha

Last but not the least, Sonakshi Sinha will also be making her web debut this year with an Amazon Prime web series Fallen. She'll be playing the character of Anjali Bhaati, a female cop in the series. Being one of the coolest actresses of Bollywood, the Dabangg (2012) star has always chosen roles that are impressive to masses. The series will be directed by Reema Kagti and produced by Zoya Akhtar.
