Superstar Singer 2: Akshay Kumar gets emotional as he receives a surprise from her sister Alka

With the exceptional voice of India's young singing prodigies, Superstar Singer 2 has been captivating the audience. The contestants have been honing their talents and putting on some incredible performances week after week with the help of their captains. Along with celebrating the brother-sister bond in the "Raksha Bandhan" special this Saturday, the upcoming episode of the show will feature yet another musical spectacle full of hypnotic music and heartfelt emotions. Along with their co-stars and on-screen sisters Sadia Khateeb, Sahejmeen Kaur, Deepika Khanna, and Smrithi Srikanth, renowned filmmaker Aanand L Rai and Bollywood's Khiladi Akshay Kumar will join the festivities on Saturday. They will be seen promoting their upcoming film, Raksha Bandhan.
In the promo shared by the channel, we can see amidst all the heartfelt performances and humorous moments, director Aanand L Rai Ji gives his cherished star Akshay Kumar a unique gift on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan that will undoubtedly make him cry. Alka Bhatia, Akshay Kumar's sister, leaves the actor a heartfelt audio message. In the audio, she addresses him in Punjabi as "Raju," saying, “I just remembered while chatting with someone that the festival of Rakhi is on August 11. You stood beside me at all times, good and bad. From being a father, and friend to a brother, you played all roles for me. Thank you for everything.”
After receiving the audio, Akshay gets emotional and adds while attempting to hold back tears, "We used to live in a little house. Our lives were altered by the entrance of this goddess. There is no stronger bond than the one with a sister.”
Directed by Aanand L Rai, Raksha Bandhan has been written by Himanshu Sharma and Kanika Dhillon. Sahejmeen Kaur, Deepika Khanna, Sadia Khateeb, and Smrithi Srikanth play the role of Akshay's four sisters in the film. Bhumi Pednekar plays the role of Akshay's love interest. The flick will be out in theatres on 11th August 2022, the same day as Raksha Bandhan, which is celebrated across India. The film, like the occasion, will focus on the beautiful relationship that exists between brothers and sisters.
