The much anticipated pan-India film ‘Liger’ starring Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday has been making headlines since the maker’s first announcement. The film is slated for a theatrical release on the 25th of August. ‘Liger’ is helmed by Puri Jagannadh. The film’s trailer was extremely well received by the audience. The cast for the film apart from Vijay and Ananya includes Ronit Roy and Ramya Krishnan. Shockingly, the film also features the famous American boxer, Mike Tyson. This won't be the first time the boxer has been a part of films, he played himself in the Hollywood movie ‘Hangover’. ‘Liger’ promotions are in full swing. Recently the duo were spotted at a college in Patna.
Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday grooved at the promotional event to their third song ‘Aafar’ from ‘Liger’. This is a relatively different song in comparison to the first two songs ‘Akdi Pakdi’ and ’Waat Laga Denge’. At the promotional event, Vijay and Ananya won the hearts of the huge crowd that was present to see them. The video of their dance went viral. Unfortunately, the incident at the Navi Mumbai mall repeated itself and Vijay had to leave the event midway. The crowd grew in numbers and became unmanageable. He had to be escorted out of the venue amid the huge crowd of fans.

About the film, ‘Liger’ is about an aspiring boxer played by Vijay. His love interest is Ananya Pandey's character. There are several obstacles the lead has to face, creating an epic journey. The film has been shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu. Fans are eagerly awaiting the theatrical release of the film on the 25th of August.
