Dream Girl, a 2019 sleeper smash, is getting a sequel starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday in the major roles. Produced by Ekta Kapoor, the movie is directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa. Sources claim that the creators have reunited the original dream girl group for the sequel. "The Dream Girl sequel will also feature Annu Kapoor, Abhishek Banerjee, and Manjot Singh, who each had significant roles in the first film. Similar to the first instalment, their persona will be plenty of humour and encourage laughter through the story, according to a source familiar with the project.

Dream Girl 2 shooting Begins

The team behind Dream Girl 2 has been working hard to make sure the script lives up to the legacy of the previous instalment for quite some time. Dream Girl is Ayushmann's highest-grossing picture to date and a really adored movie. The staff has done an excellent job on the script and is fully aware of their obligations. The source continued, saying, "It's now being shot and isn't really a sequel that's done for the purpose of it. It's a new story, and all plot elements are being kept under wraps for the time being.

The shoot is currently progressing fast in a studio in Mumbai. "The crew is now shooting a rigorous schedule in Mumbai. Parts of Mathura and Agra have been replicated in the studio. The setup is large and vibrant, the source continued. The sequel to Dream Girl will be released on film some time in the second half of 2023.
