Campeones: NOT Salman Khan, Ranbir Kapoor To Lead The Sports Drama!
Aamir Khan revealed he will remake the Spanish movie 'Campeones' a few years ago. He had stated that while he would produce the film, he would not appear in it. According to reports, Aamir Khan was originally set to star in the movie, but he withdrew after 'Laal Singh Chaddha's failure. The actor kept working on the movie as a producer and gave Salman Khan the lead. However, nothing happened as planned, and recent information indicates that Ranbir Kapoor will now take the lead in the sports drama.

Salman Khan was supposed to star in the movie, but the actor was not impressed by the storyline. When 'Bhaijaan' joined the team, he was eager to accept the position. He requested a new script because he did not like the original. There were numerous improvements that needed to be done, which required time. The crew reportedly worked on a rewrite, but by the time it was finished, Salman Khan had moved out of 'Campeones' and committed to other initiatives. Aamir Khan, however, persisted with his magnificent proposal and contacted Ranbir Kapoor.
Ranbir Kapoor could play the lead role in the eagerly anticipated sports drama. After hearing the narration, the 'Brahmastra' actor expressed interest in the film and, if everything goes well, he will join the production.

The setting for 'Champions' or 'Campeones' is a basketball court. It tells the tale of a basketball assistant coach who was made to coach a team of people with developmental problems as community service. RS Prasanna, who also directed 'Shubh Mangal Savdhaan,' will oversee the sports drama.
Ranbir Kapoor is currently filming 'Animal' for his upcoming film. The movie, which was made by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, is billed as a mobster drama. Rashmika Mandanna and RK will share the screen for the first time. 'Animal' is slated for release on August 11, 2023.
