Jawan: Shah Rukh Khan reveals why Atlee's pan-India film has been so long in the making

After a long delay, Shah Rukh Khan has announced Jawan, his upcoming pan-India film with filmmaker Atlee. On June 2, 2023, the film will be released in five languages: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. While there have been speculation about the film for some time, SRK has now disclosed the reason for its delay.

Taking to Twitter, King Khan wrote, “It’s a special @redchilliesent project that has seen its wait because of inevitable issues surrounding us. But a few good men worked hard & made it happen. Want to thank @_gauravverma the Co-Producer, @atlee47 and their Jawans for making this dream come to life. Now Good to go Chief! (sic).”

SRK broke the internet recently when he shared the film's teaser. Shah Rukh Khan looked unrecognisable in and as Jawan, with a bandaged face and bloodshot eyes. In addition, this is SRK's first collaboration with Atlee. With high-octane action sequences and an Indian cast, the film is expected to be a stunning event film.

Jawan also marks the Bollywood debut of lady superstar Nayanthara and stars Sanya Malhotra in a key role. The film is set to hit the theatres on June 3, 2023.
