Ranbir Kapoor calls Alia Bhatt his ‘tadka in dal chawal with achaar’
At Shamshera’s trailer launch, Ranbir Kapoor expressed how his life has changed after his marriage to Alia Bhatt.

Ranbir Kapoor on Friday launched the trailer of his forthcoming dacoit drama Shamshera which is slated to release in July 2022. Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor who also feature in the film were present at the trailer launch. At the event, Ranbir called this year a special one. The actor was also seen going all praises for his wife Alia Bhatt.
When Ranbir was asked about his two films Shamshera and Brahmastra which will release in an interval of 45 days, the actor said. “I don't know if it's a fortunate or unfortunate thing as two films release in 45 days. Films aside, this is a big year for me as I even got married.”
Further referring to a dialogue of his film Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, “Shaadi is dal chawal for pachaas saal till you die. But with experience, I can say that nothing is better than Dal Chawal. Alia is the tadka in dal chawal, the achar with it, she is everything and I could not have asked for a better partner in my life,” said Ranbir.
When asked if Alia had seen the Shamshera trailer, Ranbir responded, “She has watched the teaser, not the trailer yet. She must be sleeping right now in London.”
