Shocking! Pankaj Tripathi was jailed for a week in his college days

On Monday, Pankaj Tripathi turns 46, and we think back to the period when he first mentioned going to jail. He was sentenced to seven days in prison when he participated in student politics.

Pankaj joined the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) while he was a student at Patna's Magadh University, according to a 2019 PTI article. We had to stay in a different barrack since we were political prisoners, and since it was close to the Christmas break for the courts, we had to wait for a week. We were released later on bail.
