Since the first trailer for 'The Kerala Story' with Adah Sharma in the lead was released, it has been making news. The problematic plot of the movie, which is based on a terror conspiracy, has drawn a lot of criticism. The Kerala High Court has officially ruled on the many petitions that were filed to prevent the release of the movie.

According to the movie's teaser, ISIS recruited approximately 32,000 young Hindu women from Kerala, but not before they were radicalised and converted to Islam. The show was cancelled in several areas around Kerala on the day it was released because of the strong outcry against the claim.

According to reports, the Kerala High Court declined to grant a stay of The Kerala Story's release. The justices N Nagaresh and Nias CP made the observation that only the Islamic State or ISIS group was the target of the allegations, not any particular faith.

Justice Nagaresh said verbally while refusing to grant an interim order. He said, “There is something called freedom of speech and expression. They have artistic freedom, we have to balance that also. What is there in the film that is against Islam? There is no allegation against a religion, but only against the organization ISIS.”

Before overturning the stay order, the panel watched the trailer for 'The Kerala Story.' No one in the community, according to the bench, would find the movie offensive. If the entire caravan broke societal standards, the court needed to know about it.

The court took notice as it reviewed a number of petitions asking for the film's censor certificate to be revoked, “Nothing will happen just because the film is screened. The teaser of the film was released in November. What was offensive in the film? What is wrong in saying that Allah is the only God? The country gives citizens the right to believe in their religion and God and spread it. What was offensive in the trailer?”

The court observed, “So many movies have already come out about such organizations. There have been references against Hindu monks and Christian priests in many films before. Did you see all this in the way of fiction? What is so special now? How does this movie create sectarianism and conflict in society?”

The petitioners argued that the movie would impair unintended viewers' minds, nevertheless. The petitioners claim that no organisation has yet been informed about the existence of "Love Jihad" in Kerala. Adah Sharma, Yogita Bihani, Siddhi Idnani, and Sonia Balani all had significant parts in 'The Kerala Story.'
