Nagarjuna, Mohanlal and Aditi Rao Hydari in talks for Ajith Kumar’s action thriller

Reports came in January that Ajith Kumar will start shooting for his next film with H. Vinoth and Boney Kapoor on March 9. Now, for the rest of the roles, the makers are in talks with some prominent actors from the Malayalam and Telugu industries.

For the role of a senior police commissioner, the makers are in talks with Nagarjuna and Mohanlal. “It is the role of a senior police commissioner and the makers are in conversations with multiple actors from the Malayalam and Telugu industries. They want to get an actor who adds further value to the casting and stands tall in front of Ajith Kumar’s persona. The team has initiated conversations with Nagarjuna and Mohanlal for the role of commissioner, but they aren’t the only two actors being considered. Talks are on with multiple other actors from Malayalam, Telugu, and also the Hindi film industry, and it will be one of these who will eventually do the role,” divulges a source.

The source goes on to add, “The actor in question will have to shoot for about 20 to 25 days. It’s the role of a police commissioner, who appears as a worthy opponent to Ajith Kumar. We will have clarity on who eventually bags the role in the next 15 days. Right now, as many as five to six credible actors are in the conversations, including Nagarjuna and Mohanlal from the top bracket.”

As stated by the source, for the female lead, the makers are in talks with Aditi Rao Hydari. The film will be a heist-based action thriller. According to sources, the shoot will be spread over a period of 6 months starting March 9 – which includes a blend of on-set and real locations. It will be focusing on a Pongal 2023 release.
