Manoj Bajpai an actor who is famous for offbeat and unconventional roles in the Hindi cinema is originally from Bihar. Born on 23rd April 1969, Manoj has won many awards and nominations for his outstanding performance in his career's short span. Manoj was born in a small village known as Belwa near Narkatiaganj in West Champaran. He completed his schooling from K R High School in Bettiah then he joined Ramjas College to pursue a bachelors degree in history. He got a rejection from National School of Drama for four times. Then he got the theatre lessons from Barry John at Barry's drama School. Bollywood Badshah Shah Rukh Khan and Manoj were contemporaries at Barry John's acting school.
Talented Manoj started his acting career through a well known television serial on Doordarshan , Swabhimann. Rohit Roy and Ashutosh Rana were his co-actors in this serial. Later he started doing small cameos in the films like 'Dastak','Drohkaal' and 'Bandit Queen'. He got a big breakthrough in Ram Gopal Varma's critically appreciated film 'Satya'. His role of don 'Bhiku Mhatre' was loved by everyone and he got very much praise for that. He won many awards too.
His excellent performances in the other Hindi films like 'Shool','Daud','Zubeidaa','Road','Pinjar','Dil pe mat le yaar' and 'Swami' were also appreciated by the experts. He has also featured in the famous films like 'Veer-Zaara','Raajneeti' and 'Gangs of Wasseypur'.
