Dia Mirza is going through a tough time as her niece passed away. The actress shared her grief with her fans and followers on Instagram on Monday. The cause of her niece's untimely death was kept a secret by the actress. She shared the young girl's photo and wrote a touching statement to express her sorrow over her passing.
Sharing a picture of her niece, Tanya, the former beauty queen wrote, “My niece. My child. My jaan. Gone into the light. May you find peace and love wherever you are my darling… you always brought a smile to our hearts and the higher realms will be filled with more light with you dancing, smiling and singing. Om Shanti.”
Her friends and followers were seen sending condolences shortly after she shared the post. Suniel Shetty and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni dropped folding hand emoticons. Gauahar Khan wrote, "bless." Esha Gupta and Bhavana Pandey dropped heart emoticons.
Meanwhile, Dia and Vaibhav Rekhi welcomed their first son last year. Dia frequently posts pictures of her toddler son on her social media.
On the work front, Dia Mirza was last seen in the film Wild Dog (2021). She will be next seen in Taapsee Pannu’s maiden production Dhak Dhak alongside Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sajana Sanghi and Ratna Pathak Shah.
