Esha Deol shared a childhood photo with her father Dharmendra, along with an amusing caption in which she equated him to a lion and referred to herself as a cub. Esha Deol is Dharmendra's daughter from his second marriage to actor-politician Hema Malini. Ahana Deol, the couple's younger daughter, is also present.
Esha captioned the photo on Instagram, "The lion filled with pride as he lets his cub roar." #throwbackthursday #fatheranddaughter aapkadharam." Dharmendra is dressed in a jacket and denim and is carrying Esha in his arm. She is dressed in a frock and socks and can be seen stretching while being held by her father.
"What we were doing with Radhya, Miu, and Zanu yesterday," Esha's friend Chinu commented on the post. "So sweet Dharmendra Ji looking dashing as always," a fan commented. "The tiger..Dharam Ji.. look at him.. what a looker," wrote another. "Utterly cute and adorable, stay blessed," one commenter added.
Esha and her husband, Bharat Takhtani, have two daughters, Radhya, 4, and Miraya, 2.
Esha made her Bollywood debut in 2002 with Koi Mere Dil Se Poochhe and has since appeared in films such as Yuva, Dhoom, Insan, Kaal, and No Entry. After marrying in 2012, she gradually faded from the film scene. After a few cameos, she made her big acting revival this year with the web series Rudra: The Edge Of Darkness.
Esha had associated with her mother Hema Malini on Rendezvous With Simi Garewal before making her acting debut. Speaking of Dharmendra's opposition to his daughters appearing in films, she said “He doesn’t get angry but he is very possessive about us. He is like girls have to sit at home only, Punjabi type of things. We are not allowed to go out that often but Mumma is there, so we manage to go for sports and all. We had to go for state levels outside Mumbai.”
She further added “He is really concerned about whatever we do and all that. Very protective. He doesn’t like us wearing sleeveless tops and short pants. Whenever he comes home, we sit in trousers or in a salwar kameez."
