Actress Priyanka Chopra described Russia's military attack on Ukraine as terrifying and said it was difficult to understand how the situation had escalated to a catastrophic point.
Meanwhile, speaking about launching a military operation in Ukraine, Vladimir Putin stated that "responsibility for the bloodshed lies with the Ukrainian regime."
So far in the Russian invasion, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has reportedly stated that 137 people have been killed, including 10 military officers, and 316 have been injured.
Priyanka Chopra, the UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, shared a news clipping about the Ukraine crisis on her Instagram. “The situation unfolding in Ukraine is terrifying. Innocent people living in fear for their lives and the lives of their loved ones, while trying to navigate the uncertainty of the immediate future. It’s difficult to comprehend how in the modern world this could escalate to such a catastrophic point, but this is a consequential moment that will reverberate around the world. The 39-year-old actress also included a UNICEF donation link in her bio to help Ukraine's children.
Farhan Akhtar also expressed his concern about the situation on Twitter. He wrote, “Thoughts with Ukraine..may better sense prevail and peace be restored as soon as possible.”

Sonu Sood also tweeted, "There are 18000 Indian students and many families who are stuck in Ukraine, I am sure the Government must be trying their best to get them back. I urge the Indian Embassy to find an alternate route for their evacuation. Praying for their safety. #IndiansInUkraine."
