Denim-wear label Gloria Vanderbilt ropes in Priyanka Chopra as brand ambassador

As per latest reports, Priyanka Chopra Jonas has been roped in by luxury denim-wear label Gloria Vanderbilt as its new face. Priyanka will now be endorsing the label as its brand ambassador and promote it by featuring in the upcoming summer campaign.

The summer campaign of the brand is reportedly called “I Have Needs. Fit Them”. It seeks "to inspire women to speak up for what they want" and will spotlight the Amanda jeans.

Noteworthy, Priyanka has become the first celeb face of Gloria Vanderbilt since late 1990s, when Helena Christensen represented the brand.

Expressing joy at the association, Priyanka said, “Gloria Vanderbilt changed the game for fashion, introducing the first pair of designer denim, a wardrobe staple for so many of us. She was also an advocate for women and I’m honored to be part of the Gloria Vanderbilt Jeans legacy with this new campaign."

"When I tried on my first pair of GVs, I was quickly reminded that only a woman knows what a woman needs, and this collection has jeans that fit every body,” she added.

Coming to work commitments, Priyanka will next lead the romantic drama Text for You opposite Sam Heughan and Celine Dion. She will also star alongside Richard Madden in Amazon Prime Video's thriller series Citadel and as the spiritual guru Ma Anand Sheela in Barry Levinson's Sheela, a film she will produce for Amazon Studios.

The Barfi! (2012) actress has also committed to feature alongside Mindy Kaling in a comedy about an Indian-American wedding under Universal Pictures and will also appear in the action film Cowboy Ninja Viking opposite Chris Pratt.

Back home in Bollywood, PeeCee will star in Farhan Akhtar's directorial Jee Le Zaraa alongside Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt, which is set for a release in 2023.
