Ranveer and Alia are the new age SRK and Kajol says Karan Johar
Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt will soon be seen in the upcoming film ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’.

Karan Johar has given the Indian audience some iconic and incredible hits with Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol as the leads. Films like ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’, ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’, ‘Baazigar’ and ’My Name is Khan’ are just some of the films the duo have given that still resonate with the audience. Currently, the filmmaker has Cast Ranveer and Alia as his leads in the upcoming film ‘Rocky Aur Rani ki Prem Kahani’. Karan shared recently that on camera this duo exudes the same aura as Kajol and Shah Rukh did.
In a recent interview, Karan shared "When Ranveer and Alia face the camera, you will see that chemistry because they’re buddies, they’re friends. That friendship results in chemistry”. Ranveer and Alia have previously worked in Zoya Akhtar’s hit film ‘Gully Boy’ in 2019. The two played grassroots characters and won the hearts of the youth with their story. They will now reunite for the film ‘Rocky Aur Rani ki Prem Kahani’ which also stars Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi in key roles and marks the return of Karan Johar as a director after ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ which has Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai and Anushka Sharma.
In the same interview, Karan was asked about him casting Alia to which he replied, “I’ve been accused about being partial to her. I’ve been accused of always looking out for her. But I feel that with such incredible talent like that, I feel privileged.” The film will release on the 10th of February,2023.
