Director Prashant Neel says ‘KGF Chapter 3 comes out of compulsion’
KGF 2 was one of the major blockbuster hits of this year. Directed by Prashant Neel, the film is set to have a third chapter.

KGF, which stars Yash and Srinidhi Shetty in lead roles and Ramachandra Raju in supporting roles, is one of the most successful film franchises ever produced in Indian cinema. In the second installment of the franchise, Sanjay Dutt and Raveena Tandon were also seen in pivotal roles. According to reports, KGF 2 earned Rs 1180 crores worldwide.
While the fans can’t wait for the third part of the film, Prashanth Neel, the director of the KGF films, said that the third installment of the franchise is being made out of necessity. Fans were teased for a third chapter in the end credits of KGF Chapter 2.
In an interview, the filmmaker was asked whether Chapter 3 was actually going to happen, to which he replied, "There is definitely a possibility of Chapter 3. That also comes out of compulsion. People have loved this world. They've loved this character and we are gonna keep it going. We don't know when, but we are gonna keep it going.”
He further added, “Of course, we have an idea. We had an idea for it a long time back actually, but right now we just want to take a big break and we will definitely come back to make that."
Recently, the producer of the film Vijay Kiragandur said that the filming of Chapter 3 will start in the month of October and the film will release in 2024. He also added that they intend to create a Marvel-like universe for the movie series.
