KGF Chapter 2: Will day 1 collection be more than lifetime collection of KGF 1 in Hindi Belt?

KGF Chapter 2 has arrived. The frenzy around the action packed entertainer is such that even before it's release, the film appears to be a massive success at the box office.
Kannada superstar Yash is currently the talk of the town and film enthusiasts are eagerly waiting for his magnum opus to hit the theatres. Scheduled to arrive this Thursday, KGF Chapter 2 is being touted to surpass the lifetime collection of KGF Chapter 1 in the Hindi belt.
KGF 1 (Hindi version), in its total run, had collected Rs. 45 crore at the box office. However, given the current hype and craze with regards to the second installment, the opening day collect of KGF 2 is expected to surpass the lifetime collection of KGF 1 in the Hindi belt.
Talking of advance booking of tickets, KGF Chapter 2 is roaring and the response is equally terrific for all languages. The film has been predicted to rewrite previous box office record books, by even taking over recent sensation RRR.
Coming to figures, in less than 72 hours, more than 4.5 lakh tickets of KGF 2 were sold in the Hindi belt (approximately amounting to 12 crore). Many theatres and multiplexes offering advance booking are almost housefull.
Multiplex giant PVR has sold 95,000 tickets for first weekend of KGF 2. Similarly, Cinepolis and Inox have sold 75,000 and 80,000 tickets respectively for the first weekend. The figure of total tickets booked stands at 2,50,000.
As far as advance booking is concerned, KGF 2 has already broken the record of films like Bharat, Sultan and Thugs of Hindustan and with the current pace, it may also surpass the advance booking record of Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and War.
Trade analysts say a 40 crore start for KGF 2 in the Hindi belt is assured. Rest depends on the walk-in audiences who are going to decide the first day collections of the film.
Noteworthy, one of the most anticipated film releases of the year, KGF Chapter 2 marks the return of superstar Yash aka KGF’s Rocky to the big screen alongside a ensemble star cast which includes Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon and Srinidhi Shetty.
The film is written and directed by Prashanth Neel and produced by Vijay Kiragandur, under the Hombale Films banner. It is slated for a nationwide release on 14 April 14 2022 in Kannada, Telugu, Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam languages.
