On her Instagram account, Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor posted a touching tribute to late singer Lata Mangeshkar. Shraddha Kapoor and Lata Mangeshkar are shown in the photo from her childhood days. The actress can be seen smiling with the late singer in one of the photos, which is followed by photos of Lata Mangeshkar when she was younger. Sharing the lovely photos, Shraddha Kapoor captioned, "I will forever cherish the honour of having shared precious moments with you. Your hand on my head, your warm gaze, your loving words of encouragement. Thank you for your simplicity, divinity, excellence and grace. Truly The Greatest of all time! I ❤️ You Lata Aaji."
It is a lesser known fact but Shraddha Kapoor and Lata Mangeshkar are relatives. The actor's maternal grandfather Pandit Pandharinath Kolhapure was Lata Mangeshkar's first cousin.
The legendary singer died on Sunday morning as a result of post-COVID complications. "It is with great regret that we announce the unfortunate demise of #LataMangeshkar at 8:12 am," said Dr Pratit Samdani, who was treating her at the hospital. After more than 28 days in the hospital following #COVID1, she died of multi-organ failure". Shraddha Kapoor attended Lata Mangeshkar's cremation and also paid a visit to Mumbai's Breach Candy hospital.
Speaking of Shraddha's workfront, she will be next seen in Luv Ranjan's untitled project alongside Ranbir Kapoor. The film also co-stars Boney Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia in supporting roles.
