Box-office clash between F3 and Major unavoidable on May 27
F3, starring Venkatesh Daggubati and Varun Tej, and Major, starring Adivi Sesh, both will be released on the same day.

As the third wave of the coronavirus is over, several films are being lined up for release back-to-back. Since every filmmaker wants to see their ready films enter cinemas as soon as possible, there are going to be some clashes in months to come, for sure.
F3, starring Venkatesh Daggubati and Varun Tej and Major, starring Adivi Sesh will be released on the same day. Despite much dilly-dallying, the film producers have set May 27 as the release date.
Major is based on the story of 26/11 martyr Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan. It is a pan-India film, while Venkatesh Daggubati’s F3 is a sequel to the hit rom-com F2 (2019).
However, the clash between the films has become unavoidable, and the outcome is expected to be based on the promotions as well as early reviews on the day of release.
Sashi Kiran Tikka is the director of Major and Mahesh Babu is one of the co-producers. The film is being released under his banner Ghattamaneni Mahesh Babu Entertainment. Major marks the Hindi debut of Adivi Sesh and stars Saiee Manjrekar as the heroine. The film was shot simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi and later dubbed in Malayalam.
F3, on the other hand, is a comedy entertainer, directed by Anil Ravipudi. Besides Venkatesh and Varun Tej, Tamannaah Bhatia and Mehreen Pirzada are in the film too. The Music is composed by Devi Sri Prasad. The film is produced by Dil Raju.
