What made Shahid Kapoor’s wife Mira Rajput cry for 15 minutes?

Kapoor is currently busy promoting Jersey to the hilt. Joining him on the promotional spree is his leading lady Mrunal Thakur. In addition to them, the film also stars veteran actor and Kapoor’s father Pankaj Kapur in an important role.

In a recent interview, Kapoor revealed that his wife Mira Rajput felt very emotional after watching the film and cried for 15 minutes.

“I believe she was taken aback by the fact that I was portraying a father in the film. Jersey, to me, is the narrative of every married (person) in this nation - we all have goals when we are in our twenties. When you have obligations and children, you may abandon your passion in favour of doing what is practical. Mira had a better understanding of me as a person after viewing the video. She could relate to my hardships. She had a strong emotional response to the picture,” he said.

Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri and produced by Dil Raju, S. Naga Vamsi, and Aman Gill, Jersey is due on April 22, 2022.
