Cricketer Hamanpreet Kaur considers Deepika a perfect choice for her biopic!

The biopic trend in Bollywood is yet not faded. Biopics of eminent personalities, achievers, inspirational and unsung heroes work really well. Bollywood has witnessed a positive response especially to sports biopics and filmmakers are keen to take up the subject. Our women cricketers played an exceptional game at the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2017. All-rounder Hamanpreet Kaur who rose to fame with her mind-blowing performance stated in a media interaction that earlier she had to introduce herself as a Cricketer and now she gets mobbed.

Hamanpreet Kaur from Moga, Punjab scored 171 in the semi-final against Australia. She has been one of the favourites amongst the team. The young cricketer is happy and overwhelmed with the love they are receiving, states they are focused on preparing the next world cup. “The appreciation took time to arrive,” says Harmanpreet. “But the love we’re getting now is overwhelming. Imagine what the reaction would’ve been had we won the World Cup,” she added.

“People now come up to me all the time. They want to meet me in person to congratulate [me] and take selfies. There are constant inquiries about our next series.” Hamanpreet Kaur will soon meet Amitabh Bachchan for a show, talking about it, she said, “I’m excited to meet him. Though I don’t know if I’d be able to answer his questions.”

When asked which actor she thinks will be best to play her part if her biopic is made, without a second thought she said, “ Deepika is a good actor. She’d be the right choice [for the biopic], she’d able portray me well on-screen.” And, Ranveer Singh, Varun Dhawan are among her male favourite actors. The cricket ace further said, “Right now, we’re focused on winning the next World Cup. The thought of a biopic is interesting, but it can wait. There’s so much more that I need to achieve.”
