Bollywood beauty Deepika Padukone founded The Live Love Laugh Foundation for those suffering from mental illnesses. The actress has battled depressions for some years and her foundation aims at helping those who are facing the similar problems. As per the report, Deepika Padukone has become the brand ambassador of the Indian Psychiatric Society and she will be supporting their activities. She has lent her support on a pro bono basis.

Mental health is very significant and it has become a big, growing challenge for India. She revealed that her foundation and Indian Psychiatric Society intend to make mental health a priority for society and for the government. The Live Love Laugh Foundation and Indian Psychiatric Society will look forward to conduct outreach programmes on mental health. They will roll out with a programme called Together Against Depression. In May 2016, there was a web seminar for the doctors that observed participation of 2000 doctors.
