Several Bollywood personalities came forward to help the victims of the Chennai floods. Now, that the city is slowly returning to normalcy, still a lot has to be done for those who lost their homes during the calamity. In order to render support, actress Jacqueline Fernandez has joined hands with an NGO called Habitat for Humanity to help build homes for the flood victims. Jacqueline will help to raise funds and, also personally visit Chennai to support the volunteers.
In an exclusive interaction with a leading daily, Jacqueline confirmed the news and said, "My heart goes out to the victims. It must be heartbreaking to not have a home or shelter; especially at a time like this. I have teamed up with the NGO to help build homes for the victims. As a public figure, I can use my social media platforms to generate funds. There is no greater joy than giving back."
