Shah Rukh Khan's Janmashtami celebrations

With his ' Chennai Express ' packed with passengers and running behind all the stations, Shah Rukh Khan is obviously on cloud nine these days. Shah Rukh Khan , Deepika Padukone starrer ' Chennai Express ' hit the screens on August 9, which was Eid eve. Post Eid celebrations, SRK also celebrated Independence Day and Rakshabandhan with the fans. And going by the latest reports, now it's time for Janmashtami celebrations for the King Khan.

Reportedly, Shah Rukh Khan has given a nod to be a part of Janmashtami celebrations held tomorrow at Jambori Maidan, Worli. 'Worli Chi Dahi Handi' is the annual event anticipated to be attended by lakhs of people coming from all over the state. This festive event is organized by Shree Sankalp Pratisthan Charitable Trust's Sachin Ahir and Sangeeta Ahir.

Sangeeta Ahir expressed her views on this festive occasion and Shah Rukh being the part of the event. She said that in the past, several Bollywood celebrities had attended this event, but this time the demand was up for the ultimate Bollywood 'Badshah', Shah Rukh Khan . The arrangers were quite apprehensive while approaching SRK, but were surprised to see SRK agreeing instantly, added Sangeeta Ahir. She also said that Shah Rukh knew all about our Dahi Handi event and also about the presence of flood of people attending the event. SRK is curious to see some of the Govindas and see the event on television, revealed Sangeeta Ahir.

Whether Shah Rukh Khan break the Handi or not is hitherto a surprise, however the actor will be on the stage for at least an hour, informed Ahir. Shah Rukh Khan will be welcomed by the event organizers in a traditional Maharashtrian way, by blowing a 'tutari'. Sangeeta Ahir said that the arrangers will try to make him wear a 'Pheta' (turban) and also adorn the star with a sword.
