Kriti Sanon’s sister Nupur to debut in Bollywood opposite Nawazuddin Siddiqui in Noorani Chehra

Nupur Sanon, Kriti Sanon's younger sister, is set to make her Bollywood debut with Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Nawaz announced the project by posting a movie poster on social media and revealing the title of the film, Noorani Chehra. “Come Fall in love with Noor and Hiba in #NooraniChehra #MismatchedCoupleoftheYear!" Nawaz had captioned the photo, "Shooting starts today."

Noorani Chehra, directed by Navaniat Singh, is produced by Kumar Mangat Pathak. "In times when issues like skin colour, body positivity, and baldness have appeared in mainstream story-telling, it was time for a film to tackle a subject concerning looks head-on and offer a meaningful message!" said Kumar Mangat in a statement about the project. Pathak said, "We are thrilled to announce a new Bollywood combination of Nawazuddin and Nupur for this unique romance."

Nupur Sanon had intended to study digital marketing, but she ended up following in the footsteps of her sister in films. Nupur talked about her prior attempt at acting and how she auditioned for a film that was never made. “I am a trained classical singer. I came to Mumbai in 2017 to study, but at the same time, I was pursuing singing. I used to share my videos on social media. One fine day, when Kriti was away for a shoot in Budapest, I got a call from a production house. They said they liked my videos and asked me to come for an audition. I thought they would share the lyrics with me, discuss the melody and make me sing. However, I was in for a surprise when the team told me that they were looking at casting me as the lead heroine,” she had earlier said.
