Pankaj Tripathi’s wife Mridula to make her Bollywood debut with Sherdil
Actor Pankaj Tripathi announced that his wife will be a part of his next film Sherdil: The Pilibhit Saga, which is all set to release on June 24.

Director Srijit Kumar’s upcoming film Sherdil: The Philibit Saga is slated to be released in theatres on 24th June 2022. The film will feature Pankaj Tripathi, Sayani Gupta, and Neeraj Kabi in lead roles. Pankaj Tripathi in an interview revealed that his wife Mridula will also be making her debut in Bollywood with the film. He said that she’ll be seen doing a cameo in the film.
The seasoned actor explained how his wife ended up getting the role. He said, "My wife Mridula will be debuting with Sherdil. She has done one scene in the film. Director Srijit Mukerjee, who has a Bengali connection with my wife, asked her to come on the sets and promised to give her one scene. She immediately said yes because she got to wear a beautiful Bengali saree in the film. It was an easy bribe. She didn't even get paid."
While the actor’s wife is all set to step into the industry, he was asked whether his daughter would be willing to enter Bollywood or has considered becoming an actor. To this, he answered, "As of now, she has no plans to enter Bollywood. Right now, she is studying. I haven't seen the future yet but will see when the time comes. For now, I want her to study hard and play sports. But she writes really well. She is very good at literature and is at the top of her class. Also, she reads a lot, but for now, she hasn't shown any interest. Will see what happens in the future.”
