About Adipurush

Adipurush, a T-Series and Retrophiles production, was filmed in Telugu and Hindi. It will release on January 12 next year and be available in Kannada, Tamil, and Malayalam.

The film is Raut's interpretation of Valmiki's "Ramayana" narrative. Saif Ali Khan portrays the ten-headed antagonist, Ravan, while Prabhas plays Ram, and Kriti Sanon plays Sita.

About the Teaser Launch

While the fans were hoping for a suspenseful teaser, all it gave was a standard "Ramayana" plot, except for putting the faces of these well-known actors on the characters. Although Hanuman's character offers a unique chance to make the movie seem realistic, all it accomplished was to make the audience feel uneasy. All along, something was wrong.

As soon as the trailer was released, the early reactions were posted on Twitter, where #disappointed, #ravana, and #bahubali became popular hashtags.

Particularly disappointed with Saif Ali Khan's portrayal of Ravan were several fans. "Ravana is a bright Brahmin and a devoted follower of Shiva." Not some desert cult invader or Bollywood-inspired persona," a user remarked. "Ravana practiced Tapasya for a millennium; his bread grew but not his hair... True mystic (sic)," another person wrote.

Some others also thought the TV show "Siya Ke Ram," which aired on the Star Plus channel, was superior and likened the teaser to that. This was developed by Starplus seven years ago; take note of the CGI, traditional settings, and costumes.

The animation cost at least 500 crores. Waste of time, money, and resources.
