Brahmastra, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, is still shooting and a little patchwork is still needed, according to Bollywood Hungama. In other words, the science fiction picture, which began production in February 2018, is about to reach its fifth year.
The enormous project, directed by Ayan Mukerji, has top-notch VFX but also encountered significant challenges, including Coronavirus-induced lockdowns. Nonetheless, it's remarkable that the film's shooting has taken so long when many other films of similar scope in Bollywood, as well as other sectors, were able to be completed in a year or two at most.
Akshay Kumar is recognised for finishing three to four films each year and is considered a mini-industry in his own right. Mission Mangal (2019), Housefull 4 (2019), Good Newwz (2019), Laxmii (2020), Sooryavanshi (2021), Bellbottom (2021), Atrangi Re (2021), Bachchan Pandey (2022), Prithviraj (2022), Raksha Bandhan (2022), Ram Setu (2022), and OMG 2 (2022) are just a few of the films he has started and finished since 2018.
It's worth noting that he was confined for a few months following the lockdown and his hospitalisation for Covid-19. Despite this, the actor was able to complete a dozen films.
Not only that, but there's a whole lot more. During this time, India's cricket captains have changed twice, and Marvel has released nine films and five television shows from their universe: Fourth Phase.
