Ajay Devgn & Alia Bhatt receive hefty paycheques of ₹35 crore and ₹9 crore respectively for cameos in RRR

The much-anticipated film RRR has several prominent names starring in it, including Jr. NTR and Ram Charan from Tollywood. The period drama also has cameos by Bollywood stars Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt.
According to reports, Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt have been paid ₹35 crore and ₹9 crore, respectively, for their brief roles in the film. Although Devgn’s role is very short in the film, it still has a great impact on the story. His character presence is important for the character development, making his part as important as the lead.
On the other hand, Alia Bhatt is the leading lady in the film. She only had her role for 20 minutes, but she was paid the full amount she normally charges.
Talking about the same, a source in the know informed a publication, “At least Alia Bhatt has been paid what she normally charges other producers in Mumbai. Although she has less than twenty minutes of playing-time, she is the official leading lady of RRR and has been paid close to ₹9 crores for her brief role.”
The source further added, “Devgn and Alia are the audience-baiters in North India. Over there, only Rajamouli sells as the director of Baahubali (2015). But is that enough?”
Set to enter theatres on January 7, 2022, RRR has been postponed indefinitely in the wake of the sudden surge in COVID-19 cases across India.
