Ali Fazal opens up about producing films with an all-girl crew; Richa Chadha shares update on their impending wedding
Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal’s Girls Will Be Girls marks their first collaboration as producers.

Ali Fazal and Richa Chadha are the most beloved lovebirds of Bollywood. The couple never fails to share their regular mushy posts on social media, giving us major couple goals. In March this year, they announced that they were launching a production house together, Pushing Buttons. Now, their first collaboration Girls Will Be Girls is currently under process and the best part about it is led by an “all-female crew”.
During an interview, Ali was asked about this brave decision to which he replied, “This particular challenge came out of necessity. When we began our project Girls Will Be Girls, the movie which we will be shooting in October, we realized that we wanted an all-girl crew as much as we could. Suddenly, we looked at the light department and realized that there was nobody. I mean in the last five years, female cinematographers have emerged. We decided to search. There were only a couple of female gaffers. Otherwise, there was nobody. That’s when Tanya, one of our associates, came up with the idea, why can’t we do this?”
Meanwhile, Ali and Richa have been delaying their wedding due to the never-ending COVID-19 situation. Previously, the Gangs of Wasseypur actress had admitted that she wants a big celebration. When asked about their big day, Richa said, “This year. We are trying to fix the dates. Iss saal toh karni padegi (We will have to get hitched this year) (laughs).”
