Salaam Venky, starring Kajol, drastically failed to draw audiences to theatres. Since its December 9 debut, the film has struggled to generate revenue at the box office. The lead in this Revathy-directed movie is Vishal Jethwa. Salaam Venky's extremely moving narrative focuses on a boy who has terminal cancer. Euthanasia was covered in the movie, which was based on real events.

The mother of a 24-year-old son with Duchenne muscular dystrophy is played by Kajol in Salaam Venky. The movie hasn't been able to draw in a crowd because its box office returns have been so meager. On Day 5, December 13, the movie only made Rs 25 lakh in a single day's revenue; as a result, the current total takings are reportedly only Rs 2.57 crore. Other big-budget movies like Drishyam 2, Bhediya, and An Action Hero are formidable competitors for Salaam Venky.

Shraddha Agrawal and Suraj Singh provide Salaam Venky with financial support. The music, as far as it is concerned, was created by Mithoon. The film also includes appearances by Prakash Raj, Rajeev Khandelwal, and Rahul Bose. A special cameo is played by Aamir Khan in the film. Salaam Venky's film, which is based on Shrikant Murthy's book The Last Hurrah, examines the delicate subject of euthanasia, which is simply described as the intentional taking of a person's life in order to end their suffering.
