Ayushmann Khurrana recollects his first meeting with his ‘icon’ Shah Rukh Khan
Actor Ayushmann Khurrana expressed his appreciation for Shah Rukh Khan in a recent interview.

Ayushmann Khurrana, who made his cinematic debut with Vicky Donor in 2012, has established himself as one of the most talented actors of his generation, with films such as Shubh Mangal Saavdhan (2017), Andhadhun (2018), Badhaai Ho (2018), and Bala (2019). Anubhav Sinha's Anek, which releases in theatres on May 27, is his next release.
The Nautanki Saala (2013) actor has never been shy about praising Shah Rukh Khan. From hailing him as his greatest influence to stating that SRK's height was a benchmark for him, he has a lot of praise for him.
In a recent interview, the actor recalled his first meeting with Shah Rukh Khan. He said, “I remember our first meeting. I was doing radio and I had to interview him. I couldn't interview him because he was shooting for an ad film. I waited for 6-7 hours and then he was busy. I had to do my show, go back to the studio, so I saw him sitting on the set, I saw him shooting.”
Speaking about how SRK influenced him, the actor said, “He has impacted me in life. I studied mass communication because of Shah Rukh Khan. I wanted to be an actor, I took my studies seriously, and I topped in my college because of him.”
Ayushmann concluded by saying, “He is my icon."
