Padukone has done it before in Chandni Chowk To China (2009) and she is set to do it all over again in her much-anticipated film Pathan, which sees her alongside Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham.

Saluting Padukone’s dedication towards her work, Chandni Chowk To China director Nikkhil Advani had previously said, “There were some scenes that we thought to be too dangerous. But she insisted on doing away with the body double and also the wirings. She is very athletic; it runs in her family. Then there was Akshay Kumar to inspire her. Akshay had done so much on-screen action. It was a novel experience for Deepika. And she sailed through the action. She worked really hard to get the posture and power in the action scenes.”

From what we hear is that the Padmaavat (2018) actress disposes of all body doubles and plunges straight into her own stunts in Pathan. As per reports, Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham also perform some heavy-duty risky action scenes in Pathan.

Directed by Siddharth AnandPathan is expected to release in the second half of 2022.
