Sonu Sood opens up on returning to Dabangg franchise and starring in Singh Is Kinng 2
Sonu's portrayal of Chhedi Singh in Salman’s Dabangg had won him numerous accolades.

Actor and samaritan Sonu Sood, best known for films like Aashiq Banaya Aapne (2005), Jodha Akbar (2008) and Dabangg (2010), has created a unique place for himself in the Hindi film industry. Looking forward to the release of his next film Samrat Prithviraj which stars Akshay Kumar as the lead, Sonu has worked with some of the biggest names in Bollywood including Shah Rukh Khan (Happy New Year, 2014) and Salman Khan (Dabangg, 2010).
Recently, on being asked if he intends to return to Salman Khan's Dabangg franchise, Sonu said, “I don’t know whether I’ll be able to return to the Dabangg franchise or not."
Nevertheless, he sent best wishes to Salman Khan whom he called a 'great guy'.
Interestingly, Sonu Sood's upcoming film Samrat Prithviraj marks his third collaboration with Akshay Kumar. On chances of him coming together with Kumar again for Singh Is Kinng 2, Sood gave a somewhat similar reply.
"I don’t know. I think Anees Bazmee, the director of the movie, would be a better individual to say that,” the 48-year-old actor said.
In Samrat Prithviraj, Sonu will be seen playing the role of Chand Bardai. Directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi’s and produced by Yash Raj Films, the film will hit the screens on June 3 this year.
Apart from Sonu Sood and Akshay Kumar, Samrat Prithviraj also stars former Miss Universe Manushi Chillar (her Bollywood debut) and actors Sanjay Dutt and Manav Vij in key roles.
