Father-son duo Anil Kapoor and Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor, and Fatima Sana Shaikh to star in Netflix’s Thar

Thar, an upcoming revenge thriller film, was announced by Netflix on Monday. It stars Bollywood actors and real-life father-son duo Anil Kapoor and Harsh Vardhan Kapoor, as well as Fatima Sana Shaikh.
The film, which is set in Rajasthan and pays tribute to the classic Western genre, is a first for Indian cinema and fans. It will be available on Netflix in the summer of 2022.
The stars shared the first look on their respective social media accounts, providing insight into their characters.
Anil Kapoor shared the first look from Thar and captioned it as: “Registan ke ret men dabe raaj bhi ab kanoon k Lambe haathon se nahi bach paaenge????♂️ 'thar' dekhiega jaroor????aa Raha hai jald hi, Netflix para #TharOnNetflix”

Anil stated in an official statement: “I am extremely proud of what we have achieved with Thar and am super excited about the film for several reasons. The genre itself – a noir thriller set in Rajasthan that pays tribute to the genre of the classic Western is a first for Indian cinema and audiences. Thar is a playground where the dynamism of new blood meets the experience of industry stalwarts, both on and off the screen. On-screen, we see the fresh pairing of Harshvarrdhan Kapoor and Fatima Sana Sheikh”
Raj Singh Chaudhary makes his directorial debut with Thar, which he also wrote and is produced by Anil Kapoor Film Company (AKFC). Meanwhile, Thar is Anil Kapoor and Harsh Varrdhan's second collaboration, following the Netflix film AK vs AK (2020).
