Vidyut Jammwal donates ₹5 lakhs for preserving the Kalaripayattu
Vidyut Jammwal promised that he has big plans for Kalaripayattu and the financial help is just the first step.

Kalaripayattu is an ancient martial art technique popular in the south of India. Bollywood’s action star, Vidyut Jammwal, is also trained in the same, along with other martial arts techniques.
The actor has donated 5 lakhs to Ekaveera Kalaripayattu Academy. While talking about the same, he said, "The traditional health (care and prevention) methods of India need to be reactivated. Kalaripayattu is the best available ancient health culture alive today. The need of the hour is to bring this art to the world. Starting from Kerala, funding and supporting the Gurus of Kalaripayattu and Kalaris (schools) financially is only the first step. I have bigger plans for Kalaripayattu and its traditional as well as modern practitioners in the near future. "
A young martial artist, Neelakandan said, "Extremely grateful and honored! I met in Mumbai and he has supported Ekaveera Kalaripayattu Academy with a huge contribution of 5 lakh rupees. This will go a long way towards helping us achieve our dream of promoting Kalaripayattu across India. "
Neelakandan is also referred to as the prince of Kalaripayattu. He received a t-shirt from Vidyut with the message, ‘I train like Vidyut Jammwal.’
Talking about the same, Neelakandan said, "One of the biggest moments of my life! I met Vidyut Jammwal and received this T-shirt from him. I also had the good fortune of being able to perform a few Kalaripayattu moves with him. Dream fulfilled! "
