‘School of Lies’ on Disney+ to Chris Hemsworth's ‘Extraction 2’ on Netflix There is a lot to binge watch on Hotstar in June. This month also sees the release of ‘Scoop’, the eagerly anticipated Netflix thriller from Hansal Mehta. The programme explores a crime reporter's daily routine. This month's release of the movie ‘Mumbaikar’ is yet another thrilling one. Santosh Sivan's action thriller, starring Vijay Sethupathi, will be available on JioCinema.

Asur 2 (Jio Cinema, June 1)

Following the success of season 1 in 2020, viewers can't wait for the second season of this Arshad Warsi-starring crime thriller series. The second season will debut on JioCinema, as opposed to VOOT, where the first season aired. In ‘Asur 2’, the characters Dhananjay Rajpoot of Arshad and Nikhil Nair of Barun Sobti will once again interact.

Scoop (Netflix, June 2)

Filmmaker Hansal Mehta is back with another online series, ‘Scoop’, following the release of ‘Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story’. Jagruti Vora, a well-known crime reporter played by Karishma Tanna, battles for justice following the passing of a fellow reporter and encounters opposition from the press, the police, and Mumbai's underworld as a result. The book ‘Behind Bars in Byculla: My Days in Prison’ by Jigna Vora served as the inspiration for this Netflix original series.

School Of Lies (Disney+Hotstar, June 2)

This Nimrat Kaur film features a little child as the lead character. Shakti Salgaonkar, a little child, disappears from his school, and several witnesses have conflicting stories to tell about him in the Disney+ Hotstar thriller.

The character of Nandita Mehra, played by Nimrat, is a guidance counsellor who visits the boarding school to speak with the young boys about the case. Aamir Bashir, Geetika Vidya Ohlyan, and BBC Studios are involved in the production of the true-crime drama ‘School of Lies’.

Mumbaikar (Jio Cinema, June 2)

Vijay Sethupathi makes his Bollywood debut in the remake of Maanagaram, which was directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and also stars Tanya Maniktala, Vikrant Massey, Sanjay Mishra, and Ranvir Shorey.The movie follows what happens when a kidnapping goes awry and creates a chaotic scene.

Bloody Daddy (JioCinema, June 9)

This month sees the world debut of Shahid Kapoor–starring in the film by Ali Abbas Zafar. Shahid was seen performing some incredible acrobatics in the action movie's teaser while unleashing his inner John Wick.

Additionally, Ronit Roy, Sanjay Kapoor, Diana Penty, and Rajeev Khandelwal appear in ‘Bloody Daddy’.

Extraction 2 (Netflix, June 16)

Chris Hemsworth will be seen on another dangerous expedition in the upcoming ‘Extraction’ film. In this suspenseful thriller, the follow-up to the 2020 action movie ‘Extraction’, Chris' Tyler Rake returns for a new job guarding a gangster's family. Producers Joe and Anthony Russo as well as director Sam Hargrave are all back for Extraction 2. The first movie, which was published on Netflix in April 2020, featured Indian actors Rudhraksh Jaiswal, Randeep Hooda, Pankaj Tripathi, and Priyanshu Painyuli.

The Night Manager 2 (Disney+Hotstar, June 30)

‘The Night Manager's’ second season, which stars Aditya Roy Kapur and Anil Kapoor, will be released later this month. In the online series, Sobhita Dhulipala, Tillotama Shome, Saswata Chatterjee, and Ravi Behl also have roles. ‘The Night Manager’ is a Hindi adaptation of the British television programme The Night Manager, which itself was a cinematic adaptation of the John le Carre book. Sandeep Modi is the creator and director of the future season of the online series.
