Jalsa, the 2022 thriller drama film starring Vidya Balan and Shefali Shah, is receiving a lot of positive feedback from the audience, and many celebrities are giving their views on the film. Yami Gautam is all hearts for the Vidya Balan and Shefali Shah starrer. The Sanam Re (2016) actress shared the motion poster for the film on her Instagram stories yesterday. Yami also included a note, expressing that films like Jalsa, which push artistic limits, deserve all the love and acclaim they can get.
The note read, “Films that are pushing creative boundaries & raising the bar higher rightly deserve all the love & appreciation! Coming from one of my favorite directors and such phenomenally talented & powerhouse of actors, Vidya Balan & Shefali Shah, was an experience in itself! MUST WATCH.”
Suresh Triveni helmed the film, which tells the story of an 18-year-old girl who was involved in a hit-and-run accident. The film, which stars Vidya Balan and Shefali Shah, premiered on March 18, 2022, and is now available to watch on Amazon Prime Video. Rohini Hattangadi, Manav Kaul, Surya Kasibhatla, and Kashish Rizwan, also played key roles in the film.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Yami Gautam was last seen in Behzad Khambata's directorial debut, A Thursday (2022), which received acclaim from critics and fans alike. She is now prepping for three new films, including Dasvi, Lost, and OMG 2 – Oh My God! 2. Dasvi will release on Netflix and Jio Cinema on April 7, 2022. OMG 2, on the other hand, is a sequel to the 2012 film OMG. OMG 2 stars Akshay Kumar, Yami Gautam, Pankaj Tripathi, and Arun Govil. The film is slated to release this year.
