Kartik Aaryan is savouring the success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 (2022). His horror-comedy film has collected over Rs 130 crore at the ticket window. His pay was reported to have increased to Rs 35-40 crore after the phenomenal success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. The actor, on the other hand, dismissed the rumour of a hike. Now, as per reports, Kartik might replace Akshay Kumar in Housefull 5.
Kartik will replace Akshay in Housefull 5 after doing so in the Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise, according to a popular entertainment portal. While Akshay was in the first installment of Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007), Kartik appeared in the second. Returning to the Housefull 5 rumour, Kartik debunked it with a strong Twitter response.
Kartik Aaryan shot down rumours that he might replace Akshay Kumar in Housefull 5. He wrote, "Koi mujhse bhi poochega meri agli picture kaunsi hai? Baseless. (Will anyone even bother to ask me what my next film is) (sic)."

The actor has wrapped filming on Freddy. Ekta Kapoor is producing the film. It's a romantic thriller with unforeseen twists and turns. Shashanka Ghosh helms the project. Aside from this film, the actor is working on Captain India, a film by filmmaker Hansal Mehta. Kartik will also appear in Shehzada, a Hindi version of Allu Arjun's Telugu hit Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo (2020).
