Raksha Bandhan: Dhanush and Ram Charan share the trailer for the Akshay Kumar starrer

Akshay Kumar is currently prepping for the release of his upcoming film, Raksha Bandhan, which is scheduled to release in theatres on August 11. The eagerly anticipated trailer for the family drama, which garnered accolades from both fans and celebrities, was recently released by the film's producers. Superstars of the South Indian film industry Ram Charan and Dhanush have praised the Akshay Kumar starrer’s trailer on their respective social media platforms.

Ram Charan took to Twitter on Tuesday to laud the Raksha Bandhan trailer and to express his admiration for Akshay Kumar. Ram Charan has gained popularity in Bollywood circles due to his performance in RRR (2022). On the occasion of his birthday, the Telugu actor also wished the filmmaker Aanand L Rai. Dhanush, who previously co-starred with Akshay Kumar in Atrangi Re (2021), also took to the microblogging site to express his admiration for the actor. Dhanush specifically praised the writing-directing team of Himanshu Sharma and Anand L Rai, with whom he collaborated on the films Raanjhanaa (2013) and Atrangi Re (2021), while sharing the link to the trailer. The Tamil star wrote, "Raksha Bandhan .. looks like yet another aanandlrai, Himanshu Sharma magic show !! All the best to akshaykumar sir bhumipednekar and the whole cast and crew. (sic)."
