Janhvi Kapoor to romance Varun Dhawan in Nitesh Tiwari’s next directorial?
The love story will see Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor share the screen space for the first time ever.

We recently reported that acclaimed filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari is in talks with Varun Dhawan for his next directorial. If things fall into place, the untitled film will mark their maiden collaboration with each other. The latest we hear is that now Janhvi Kapoor has also joined Dhawan on the cast of the upcoming film.

Sharing more details, a well-placed source informs a publication, “Varun Dhawan has been committed to a Sajid Nadiadwala film since 2020. They were collaborating for an unabashed commercial entertainer titled Sanki that was being directed by Kesari (2019) fame Anurag Singh. However, with the COVID-19 pandemic that brought a huge shift to the audiences’ taste courtesy of the boom of OTT platforms, Varun and Nadiadwala decided to call off the project and work on something else that’s not just a masala potboiler. And that’s when Nadiadwala pitched him Nitesh Tiwari’s film. When Janhvi was approached, she also gave her nod immediately and everything fell into place soon.”
Not much else is known about the forthcoming film right now, but the report mentions that it is a love story. The project will see Dhawan and Kapoor share the screen space for the first time ever. More details are expected to arrive soon.
Meanwhile, Varun Dhawan is awaiting the release of Dharma Productions’ Jug Jugg Jeeyo and Maddock Films’ Bhediya. Janhvi Kapoor, on the other hand, next will be seen in Colour Yellow Productions’ Good Luck Jerry!
