Aditi Rao Hydari opens up on her Cannes 2022 red carpet debut: 'Can’t compete with all the giraffes'

Aditi Rao Hydari walked the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival 2022 for the first time, marking her debut appearance at the festival. Before walking the red carpet on Saturday, she served a number of looks after landing in France for the festival, including an ivory Sabyasachi saree. She has spoken out about the pressure she felt to have the perfect red carpet look.

She said, “100 percent I am going to falter. I am going to do some really stupid goofy things, but it’s fine. That’s also me and I will deal with it when I have to deal with it, and people are going to throw tomatoes at me and I am going to be disgusted, I am sure. But it's fine, it’s all good. The microscope is natural, and I have to learn to deal with it and learn from it I guess.”

“Sabya was chatting with me and I was like...You know I am a tiny person, now I cannot compete with all the giraffes around me. I am an actor and I am a tiny person and it's fine. I am okay with it you know,” she continued.

Aditi was most recently seen in Dulquer Salmaan and Kajal Aggarwal starrer Tamil flick Hey Sinamika (2022). Gandhi Talks and Jubilee are her upcoming projects.
