After 24 years of marriage, Sohail and Seema Khan file for divorce

Sohail Khan and Seema Khan filed for divorce on Friday, almost two decades after they married in 1998. As the paparazzi captured them from afar, the split couple were seen exiting Mumbai's Family Court. Seema and Sohail have yet to issue an official statement regarding their separation. They have, however, been apart for a long period.

Sohail and Seema were photographed leaving the Family Court separately on Friday. Sohail was accompanied by tight security as he left the city's Family Court while Seema was seen walking towards her car. A close source revealed, "Sohail Khan and Seema Sachdev were present in the court today. They have filed for a divorce. Both were friendly towards each other."

Although the pair is no longer in love, they were once smitten by each other. During the filming of Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya (1998), the actor-producer met Seema, a Delhi resident. Seema was apparently living in Mumbai at the time and working as a fashion designer. Sohail and Seema began dating soon after and decided to tie the knot.

Seema's family, on the other hand, was against the union. Sohail and Seema apparently ran away from home and married in a private ceremony in presence of close friends and relatives, according to reports. They had their son, Nirvan after two years of marriage and Yohan in 2011. Seema's family ultimately accepted the relationship.

Seema and Sohail were shown living separately in the show The Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives (2020), with their children shuffling between the two homes. The show added fuel to the fact that the two were not living together.
