Ameesha Patel reveals why Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai was registered for the Guinnes Book of World Records, 2002
Hrithik Roshan made his debut in Bollywood with the film Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai (2000) and secured places in the hearts of a million people with his performance. It marked the start of Hrithik’s bang on career. But few people are aware that the film was also registered in the Guinness World Records.
Hrithik Roshan became the first actor to win the Filmfare Award for both best actor and best debut for the same film with Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai. It also won Rakesh Roshan, his first Filmfare award for the best director. Ameesha Patel took to her Instagram to post the reason behind the film’s registration for the Guinnes Book of World Records.
According to media reports, the film was admitted to the Guinness Book of World Records in 2002 for receiving the most acclaims. Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai received a total of 92 awards. The name of this film was also recorded in the Limca Book of Records (2003) for receiving the most honours.
Amisha Patel, who played the lead role in the film shared a throwback picture from the sets of the film on the occasion it’s 22 years completion. Sharing the picture, she wrote, “How time flies .. Shooting for #GADAR2 currently n came across this picture of Hrithik Roshan n me from our shoot in New Zealand n KAHO NA PYAAR HAIN completes 22 years today”. It was also Ameesha Patel’s debut film.
