Anil Kapoor says that the society is an ageist says 'If they don’t need you, they will throw you out'

Anil Kapoor is one of the most physically fit actors his age. His evergreen appears to look and fitness have always been discussed, and fans adore the fact that he still looks very much like he did a few years ago. Well, the actor has a number of exciting projects in the works, one of which is about to be released on an OTT giant. Thar is the title of the film, and Anil will appear alongside his real-life son Harshvardhan Kapoor. The actor from Dil Dhadakne Do plays an elderly local cop appointed to investigate the murders. He finally opened about his personality and why he could relate to it in a new interview.

He says in the interview “The sub-inspector is doing his job well for many years, but he has not moved up the hierarchy. He is at an age where he can do so much, but he has to retire because of the rules. He feels stuck. Be it your profession or mine, it is [dictated by] an ageist society. They tell you when it’s time to hang up your boots. I could relate to the character, and get into his soul.”

Anil Kapoor jokes that he is privileged and bestowed that filmmakers still believe he is deserving of being a part of their vision. He gratefully goes to the sets. "The world is such that if they don't need you, they will throw you out," the actor says. In such a case, I am grateful to God that I am still doing interesting work." Anil Kapoor's current projects include Jug Jugg Jeeyo, in which he co-stars with Kiara Advani and Varun Dhawan, Fighter, in which he co-stars with Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone, and Animal, in which he co-stars with Ranbir Kapoor.
